Expands to close plastic pipes in fires
Fireclamp IPS is a one part intumescent acrylic sealant which in fire conditions expands with high pressure to seal openings in fire compartmenting structure when penetrated by plastic pipes, metal pipes with combustible insulation and bunched cables.
- Independently tested to EN 1366-3: 2009 providing up to 4 hours fire resistance
- Fire tested in conjunction with plastic pipes up to 160mm and with multi-layered composite pipes (MLCP)
- Excellent adhesion to most building substrates, including porous materials, without the use of primers
- Water based for easy application and clean-up
- Non-toxic, low smoke, mould resistant and halogen free
- Can be over painted when dry
- Quality assured including ISO 9001 and independent third party product certification
- Fire seals around plastic pipe penetrations through fire separating walls and concrete floors
- For closing gaps around metal pipes where continuous combustible pipe insulation is present
- Service penetration seals to cables and metal pipes where they pass through fire resistant walls and floors
- Extensive testing to EN 1366-3: 2009 providing up to 4 hours fire resistance to service penetrations
- Zero flame spread when tested to EN ISO 11923-2: 2010 giving Class E classification to EN 13501-1:2007 + A1
