Fireclamp Electrical Box Protectors
Maintains the fire performance of partitions
Fireclamp Electrical Box Protectors (Putty Pads) are designed to reinstate the fire resistance of partitions when fitted with electrical socket and switch boxes.
Made from silicone-based intumescent polymer with additional fire resistant additives they are non-setting and mouldable for quick and easy installation.
- Independently fire tested and assessed to the requirements of EN 1363-1: 1999 and EN 1366-3: 2009 providing up to 2 hours fire resistance
- Tested with sockets/switches positioned back to back and in uninsulated partitions
- Selection of pad sizes to suit single and double socket and switch boxes
- Quick release protective paper facings to make handling easy
- Can be fitted to either inside or to the back of boxes for maximum flexibility
- Easy to install by hand without the need for specialist tools
- Non-setting to allow for future modification
- Socket and switch boxes in partition walls between hotel bedrooms
- Similar boxes fitted to fire compartmenting walls separating rooms from corridors and other circulation spaces
- Retro-fitting to socket and switch boxes in existing fire separating partitions currently at risk of failure should a fire occur
- Fire testing to EN 1366-3: 2009 providing up to 2 hours fire resistance to plastic socket and switch boxes
- Fire Classification to EN 13501-2 and CE Mark (ETA 17/0779))
